The project
About Orion
Orion is the independent progressive rock project created by Ben Jones: concept-led albums built around stories, questions and long-form musical ideas.
Why Orion exists
A long-held idea, finally recorded
The idea behind Orion developed for more than twenty years, changing form and gathering songs before becoming a recorded project. The aim remained constant: to make music with a story worth telling.
The catalogue began with The End of Suffering in 2023 and continued through Passing Through, The Lightbringersand Into Darkness. Universe XXV is the next chapter, arriving on 23 October 2026.
Each record stands on its own, while the catalogue shares an interest in how people respond to pressure, purpose, darkness and change.
